![]() Can you use MasterCam X2 or X3 like MACH3? Or is this not so?īut OneCNC I need to take a look at. I know when you first start working on something you should select what you want to make it on.īut I am a Noob and much input is needed. I have come across different settings for whatever your going to design that say 4th axis mill and so on, under that a ways it says 5th axis milling ect. From what I have been playing with and I am only on the Third Tutorial in the book and I am teaching myself since I work at the college. I don't know for sure but I think MasterCam is also a program that controls your Milling Tools, Lathe, and CNC Machine. I dont know much about this field yet so forgive me for saying this: That's what our College Teaches along with SolidWorks. ![]() I think the industry standard is MasterCam. When you first started in this field what did you start with/learn on? I assume it wasn't MasterCam. I have a question for you about MasterCam. Ill have to look at OneCNC that, sounds pretty cool. I got a disk from school and I have it running on my iMac with bootcamp. Can bring the project from home and put it inthe mastercam pc at school. It states in the book that you can save the project your working on at school and take it home to work on it more, it also says you. But I think you can save it to a zip drive or burn it to disk. Yes it's a FULL version, the only thing about this full version is it's the demo and you can't save you project. One of those disk is a full version of master. It's free, when you buy your text books from you college at there book store you get the mastercam book that teaches you how to operate mastercam, and you get two disc. Ok everyone knows MasterCam X3 or X2 that is in College gets a FULL VERSION for FREE! Yup it's True. But if you never worked with Cad stuff you want the book for sure! Lord knows if I didn't have access to the books I wouldn't know what to do. ![]() Or you could talk to the Instructor at the college and see if he will let you make a copy of the demo that comes with every book sold. ![]()
